- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 medium lemon
- 1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped crystallized ginger
