Ingredients

  • ½ head Asian cabbage, sliced thin and cross-ways (I used Napa cabbage)
  • 3-4 carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 10-12 scallions, sliced (save green bottoms for garnish)
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon dry ginger (fresh minced works as well)
  • ½ cup soy sauce (for gluten free, use tamari)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar (I used turbinado)
  • 1-pound shrimp, remove tails, devein and refrigerate
  • 1 (12 ounce) package of linguine noodles (I used gluten free)
  • Grapeseed and sesame oils
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
