Ingredients

  • 500 grams tapioca (kappa)
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • A few curry leaves
  • 400 grams fish (seer, sardines, or mackerel)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 small piece of kokum or 2 pieces kudampuli (dried Malabar tamarind), soaked
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 cup water
