• 12 French rolls (pistolettes)
• 2/3 cup water
• 1/2 cup chopped parsley
• 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 1 pound sweet Italian sausage (removed from the casings and crumbled)
• 1 pound lean ground beef
• 1 cup chopped onions
• 3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) butter
• 1 teaspoon minced garlic
