Ingredients

• 10 ounces fettuccine
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 1/2 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined with the tails removed
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups whole milk
• 2 cloves garlic
• 3 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
• 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
• salt and pepper, to taste
• 2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
