Ingredients

• 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
• 1/3 cup real maple syrup
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
• ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
• ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
• ½ teaspoon coarse salt
• 1 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar
• 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
