Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of Newman’s Own Old Fashioned Roadside Lemonade
  • 2-3 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup water
  • Fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices for garnish (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • In a small saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add the dried lavender buds to the syrup and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove the saucepan from heat.
  • Allow the lavender syrup to steep and cool to room temperature. Strain out the lavender buds and set the syrup aside.
  • In a large pitcher, pour the Newman’s Own Old Fashioned Roadside Lemonade.
  • Add the lavender simple syrup to the lemonade, adjusting the sweetness to your preference.
  • Stir the mixture well to ensure the lavender syrup is evenly distributed.
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and allow the lavender lemonade to chill for at least 1 hour
  • Before serving, stir the lavender lemonade again to combine any settled ingredients.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lavender lemonade over the ice.
  • Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh lavender and a slice of lemon if desired.
