• 4 cups all purpose flour
• 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1 ¼ cups sugar
• 4 eggs
• ¼ cup orange juice
• 1 tablespoon brandy or apple juice
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon water
