- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/4 cup water
- Small piece of cinnamon stick
- 1/4 tsp ginger powder
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp Kerrygold Original Irish Butter
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water, use more if needed
- Oil for frying
