Ingredients

• 2 pork shanks
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 carrots, sliced
• 2 stalks celery, chopped
• 2 cups beef broth
• 1 cup red wine
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 tsp dried thyme
• 1 bay leaf
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tbsp olive oil
