Czech Tomato Soup with Rice - CookingHub

Ingredients

• 1 ½ cups of white rice - cooked (amount after cooking)
• 2 TBSP of frying oil (any kind) (adjust if needed)
• 1 onion - peeled and finely chopped (medium onion)
• 2 TBSP of unsalted butter
• 2 TBSP of all-purpose flour
• 4 cups of chicken broth/stock (or vegetable broth)
• 1 cup of water
• 15 OZ of tomato purée - canned (*)
• 2 TBSP of granulated sugar
• ½ TSP of allspice - ground
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 TSP of salt (**)
• ½ TSP of pepper - ideally freshly ground
• 1x Measuring Cups
• 1x Measuring Spoons
• 1x Chef’s knife
• 1x Cutting Board
• 1x Medium Sauce Pan or Small Pot (4QT)
• 1x Wooden Spoon or High-Temperature Silicone Spatula
