• 1/4 cup unsalted butter
• 1 cup diced yellow onion
• 1 Earthbound Farm Organic Carrot
• 2 10-oz packages Earthbound Farm Frozen Organic Butternut Squash, thawed
• 2 tart apples
• 1/4 teaspoon Chinese Five-Spice Powder
• 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
• 4 cups chicken or vegetable stock
• 1 cup apple cider
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper
• 1/2 cup heavy (whipping) cream
• 1 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon
