Ingredients

• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 1/2 cup onion, chopped
• 1 1/2 cup celery, diced
• 1 1/2 cup carrots, diced
• 1 tbsp minced garlic
• 16 oz wild rice blend
• 16 cup turkey or chicken broth or stock
• 1 bay leaf
• 3 cup cooked turkey, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
• 1 cup heavy cream
• salt and ground black pepper
