This is my mother's well loved recipe. Christmas dinner would not be complete without this lovely salad.
Ingredients
- 5 cups unpeeled apples
- 2 1/2 cups chopped celery
- 1 1/4 cups chopped pecans or 1 1/4 cups chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup cream or 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons Miracle Whip or 2 teaspoons mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- salt and pepper
