American Raisin Scones Recipe - Cooking Index
I remember these from the Puyallup County Fair when I was a kid. This is as close as I can come to that American biscuit product, the scone.
Ingredients
- 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon 2.5ml Salt
- 3 teaspoons 15ml Baking powder
- 2 tablespoons 30ml Sugar
- 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Cold butter
- 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Raisins - * see hints*
- 1/2 cup 118ml Half-and-half or cream
- 1 Egg - beaten
