Orange Chocolate Shortbread Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 cup (250 ml) butter, unsalted, softened
• 1/2 cup (125 ml) icing sugar, sifted
• 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
• 2 cups (500 ml) all-purpose flour
• 1/4 tsp (1 ml) each baking soda and salt
• 1 tbsp (15 ml) finely grated orange zest
• 3 oz (90 g) finely chopped bittersweet chocolate
• or 2/3 cup (175 mL) mini chocolate chips
