Ingredients

• 2 cups milk, scalded and cooled to lukewarm
• 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/3 cup cooking oil
• 1/3 cup raisins
• 2 tsp. sugar
• 1/2 cup warm water
• 2 x 1/4 oz. (16 grams) active dry yeast
• 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• 1 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 1/2 cups rye flour
• 2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
• cornmeal
• 1 tbsp. milk for brushing tops
