Ingredients

  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 1/3 cups, 60% chocolate chips or semisweet if you prefer
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking pan with foil or parchment paper and spray with baking spray, set aside.
  • Sift the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, espresso powder and salt into a bowl, set aside.
  • Add the cooled chocolate mixture and stir with a rubber spatula. Then add the sifted dry ingredients, stir until just combined. Do not over stir.
  • Cool the brownies completely, then remove from the pan and cut into squares.
  • The coffee enhances the flavor of the chocolate. If you do not like coffee leave it out.
  • If you want to add nuts or chocolate chips you can do that too.
