- 6 thick slices of brioche, challah or any enriched bread. You could even use panettone if you like.
- 4 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 300ml single cream
- 40g caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla paste/extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- 20g Unsalted butter and
- 20ml vegetable oil for frying
- Maple syrup to serve
