• 2 ½ (15 oz) cans tomatoes with juice
• 1 cup beef broth
• 1 cup chopped onions
• 1 cup chopped celery
• 1 cup chopped bell pepper
• ¼ cup crushed garlic
• ½ cup red wine vinegar
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• salt and pepper to taste
