Lemon Garlic Green Cabbage Slaw - Talley Farms Box
Ingredients
- Sides
- 1 small head of green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup thinly sliced celery
- 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp salt
- pickled jalapeno for a kick, optional
- Step 1. Prepare the Vegetables: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, celery, cucumber, parsley, and green onions. If you are adding the jalapeno, add.
- Step 2. Make the dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, honey and salt until smooth.
- Step 3. Combine: Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat all the vegetables evenly. If you’re using raisins or cranberries, fold them in now.
- Step 4. Chill: For best flavor, allow the slaw to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This helps the flavors meld together.
- Step 5. Serve: Give it a good toss before serving and enjoy as a refreshing side or topping!
