Ingredients

• 200g currants
• 200g raisins
• 100g glacé cherries, chopped
• 150g dark brown sugar
• 200g self-raising flour
• 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
• 1 tsp mixed spice (or cinnamon)
• 2 large eggs
• 100ml milk
• 100ml vegetable oil
• Zest of 1 orange
• Zest of 1 lemon
• Creamy vanilla custard, for serving
