Toffee Squares Recipe

Ingredients

• 2 sticks unsalted butter (16 Tbsp.), softened
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• ¼ tsp. table salt
• 4 milk chocolate bars (1.55 oz. each ), such as Hershey's, broken into squares
• ½ cup chopped almonds, toasted
• ¼ cup English toffee bits (such as Heath)
