Jellied Apples

Ingredients

• 4 red apples
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup boiling water
• Thin shavings of lemon rind
• 1 tablespoon gelatine
• 1/4 cup cold water
• 1 1/2 cups apple syrup
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
