Recipe: Austrian Lebkuchen Biscuits

Ingredients

• 500 g rye flour / 4 ⅔ cups
• 120 g butter / ½ cup
• 1.5 tsp baking powder
• 120 g icing sugar / 1 cup
• 250 g honey / ¾ cup
• 2 eggs
• 2 packets of Lebkuchen spices (or create your own mixture as instructed below*)
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• Lemon peel (grated and untreated)
• 50 g ground nuts / 1.7 oz
• 1 egg (for coating)
