SEAFOOD HUSH PUPPIES

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup cornmeal
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 tsp. sugar
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1 beaten egg
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 tsp. fresh tarragon chopped
• 2 tbs. green onion minced
• 2 cloves minced garlic
• 5 drops Tabasco
• 1/2 cup shrimp poached and chopped
• 1/2 cup bay scallops poached and chopped
• 1/2 cup lump crabmeat broken up
• 1 quart vegetable oil for deep frying
