Fun Shaped Chicken Noodle Soup - Sanderson Farms

Ingredients

• 1 Sanderson Farms® Whole Frying Chicken , giblets and other parts removed
• 4 ½ quarts water
• 6 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
• 2 fresh thyme sprigs
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
• 4 carrots, peeled and cut into large pieces
• 2 onions, peeled and quartered
• 2 celery stalks with leaves, cut into 4 pieces
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1 cup finely diced celery
• 1 cup finely diced carrots
• 10 lasagna noodles
• 2 teaspoons salt, or more to taste
• ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, or more to taste
• 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
