Hot Tomato Soup
A few years ago a friend gave me a recipe from a famous French restaurant for a robust tomato soup, and it's the best I've ever had.

Ingredients
- 4 cups peeled and diced tomatoes
- 4 cups tomato juice
- 12 fresh basil leaves (or 3 teaspoons of dried, crushed leaves)
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon cracked pepper
- Salt to taste
