- 250g plain flour plus extra for dusting

- 3 large eggs
- 55g golden caster sugar
- 100g golden syrup
- 50g unsalted butter melted
- ½ tsp sea salt plus extra for sprinkling
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp bourbon whisky (optional)
- 300ml double cream
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
