Rainbow Surprise Explosion Cake

Ingredients

• 3 cups cake flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter (softened)
• 6 large egg whites (at room temperature)
• 1 cup whole milk (at room temperature)
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp almond extract
• 6 gel food colors
• 1 ¾ cup total sprinkles (or candy for filling)
• 1 cup unsalted butter (two sticks, softened to room temperature)
• 16 ounces cream cheese bars (cold)
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 2 lbs powdered sugar
• 1 cup sprinkles to cover the outside of the cake (optional)
