Southern Fruit Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups Flour
• 1 cup Sugar
• 1/2lb Butter
• 6 Eggs (Separated)
• 1/2lb Citron, Finely Ground
• 1lb Raisins
• 1/2lb Currants
• 1/2lb Dates (Chopped Fine)
• 1/2lb Candied Cherries
• 1lb Pecans (Chopped) (save some of the whole pecan halves to decorated top of cake)
• 1 ounce Rose Water (2 tablespoons)
• 1 tbsp Cinnamon
• 1tbsp Mace
• 1 tbsp Nutmeg
• 1/2 pint Whiskey
