Peruvian Pork Sub - School Food Handler
Try the flavorful Peruvian Pork Sub with marinated pulled pork, cilantro mayo spread, lettuce, and onions. Perfect for a satisfying lunch!
Ingredients
- Place the pulled pork in a sprayed 4-inch hotel pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together all the pork marinade ingredients.
- Pour pork marinade over pulled pork and gently toss until all pork is coated.
- Cover hotel with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, stirring half way through baking. Ensure the pork reaches 165 degrees for 15 seconds.
- Hot hold pork until assembly.
- Spread 1 ½ tablespoons of the spread on each side of the sub bread.
- Place 3 ounces of the pulled pork on the bottom sub roll.
- Top with green leaf lettuce and onions, just before service.
