Aunt Helen’s Memorial Beans | Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Ingredients

• 1 large can (1 lb.,12 oz.) pork and beans (pick a good brand-this is no time to go for the cheap stuff)
• 2 slices bacon, chopped
• 1 green pepper, chopped
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 1 tbsp. brown sugar
• 1 tsp. chile powder
• ½ cup ketchup
• ½ cup water
• 1 small jalapeno, chopped fine
