Ingredients

• 2 star anise pods
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 large Honeycrisp apple, diced
• 3 cups (750 mL) fresh or frozen cranberries
• 1 cup (250 mL) dried cranberries
• 1⁄2 cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
• 1⁄2 cup (125 mL) packed brown sugar
• 1⁄2 cup (125 mL) apple or cranberry juice
• 1⁄4 tsp (1 mL) ground cloves
