• 6 saltine crackers, finely crushed
• 1 tbsp. tomato paste
• 2 tsp. New Mexico ground red chile or cayenne pepper
• 1 tsp. ground cumin
• 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
• 3 cups finely chopped cabbage (about half of a small head)
• ¼ tsp. salt
• Freshly ground black pepper
• ¼ cup mayonnaise
• 2 tsp. whole buttermilk or milk
