- 5 (about 1kg) Beurre Bosc pears
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tbs water
- 200g fresh Medjool dates, halved lengthways and pitted
- 125g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- Vanilla ice-cream or Greek-style natural yoghurt, to serve
- 3/4 cup self-raising flour
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 75g butter, melted
