These are the best lemon bars I've ever eaten. Genny was the wife of a friend of ours. He wasn't allowed to bring anything to a potluck except these lemon squares
Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 c butter (real, don't cheat)
- 2/3 c sugar
- 2 1/4 c flour
- Filling:
- 5 eggs
- 1 3/4 c sugar
- 1/3 c flour
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 2/3-3/4 c lemon juice (fresh - approx 5 medium lemons)
