- 1 cup sugar
- 6 tbsp. butter, at room temperature
- 8 eggs, separated
- <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> lb. shelled walnuts
- 2 tbsp. white bread crumbs
- Flour
- <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp. instant coffee
- <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> lb. semisweet chocolate, chopped
- <sup>3</sup>⁄<sub>4</sub> cup coarsely chopped walnuts
