- 125 g soft butter or margarine
- Cream well
- Add
- 125 ml sugar. Cream again
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- +- 1 ½ - 2 cups sifted Flour or as required
- 1 cup chopped dates
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- Sprinkle with 100's & 1000's
