• 9 Yukon Gold potatoes, very thinly sliced (about 3 lb.)
• 1/2 lb. Gruyère cheese, grated
• 3 eggs
• 1-1/2 cups heavy cream
• 1 tbsp kosher salt
• 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
• 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
