Ingredients

• 1 Exceldor "Freezer to Oven" whole turkey
• 3 heads of garlic
• 2 tsp. + 2 tbsp. (40 ml) vegetable oil
• 2 onions
• 4 cups (1 L) chicken broth
• 1/4 cup (60 ml) liquid honey
• 1 tbsp. (15 ml) Dijon mustard
• 3 large carrots, diced
• 5 celery stalks, diced
• 2 cups (500 ml) pearl barley
• 4 bay leaves
• 1/4 cup (60 ml) Italian parsley, chopped
• 2 cups (500 ml) chicken stock
• 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter, softened
• 1/3 cup (80 ml) toasted flour
• 2 tbsp. (30 ml) brown sugar
