Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups + 3 Tablespoons warm water
- 2 ¼ teaspoons, or one ¼ ounce package active dry yeast
- 4 cups dark rye flour
- 1 ¾ teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar (optional)
- 3 Tablespoons molasses
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- ½ teaspoon espresso powder
