Cream Cheese Sandwich Cookies

Ingredients

• 2-2/3 cups (650 mL) all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup (75 mL) unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tsp (5 mL) baking powder
• 1/2 tsp (2 mL) baking soda
• 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
• 1 cup ( 250 mL) butter, softened
• 3/4 cup (175 mL) granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) firmly packed light brown sugar
• 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla sugar (see Bavarian Apple Cones recipe)
• 2 large eggs
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) white chocolate chips
• 2-3 tbsp (30 – 45 mL) milk
• 1-1/2 packages (12 oz/375 g total) cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) confectioners’ sugar
• 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
• 2/3 cup (150 mL) finely chopped pecans
• 3 oz (85 g) white chocolate, coarsely chopped
