Cheddar Cheese Coins - Jill's Table
This easy appetizer can be made well ahead and kept in the freezer until you are ready to bake. Cheddar Cheese Coins make a great nibbly with a glass of wine. Having just one is not an option ;)
Ingredients
- 6 oz all purpose flour
- 3 oz old white cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 oz unsalted butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 ½ oz walnuts, finely chopped
