• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1/3 cup (80 mL) thinly sliced onion
• 1 tsp. (5 mL) garlic
• 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) brown sugar
• 1/4 cup (60 mL) red wine
• 1 tsp. (5 mL) flour
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) pineapple juice
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) water
• 3/4 cup (190 mL) cubed papaya
• 3/4 cup (190 mL) red pepper, in strips
• 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) chopped parsley
