Ingredients

  • Fresh Ginger - generous piece (2 ")- peel and rough chop
  • 1 Shallot- rough chop
  • 1/4 Apple peeled, rough chop (I suggest a sweet variety)
  • 1 Clove of Garlic- peeled and rough chop
  • 2 Tbsp Soy
  • 1/4 c Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame paste (same as Tahini)
  • 1 c Grapeseed oil (or another mild tasting oil such as sunflower)
  • 8 oz. Iceberg Lettuce, cored and chopped
  • 4 oz. Romaine Lettuce, cored and chopped
  • 4 oz. Red Cabbage, cored and sliced thin
  • 4 oz. Bean Sprouts
  • 2 oz. Green Onions, chopped
  • 16 oz can of Mandarin Orange Segments
  • 4 oz. Crispy Rice Noodles if available (not uncooked rice noodles!)
  • 4 oz. Crispy Won Ton Strips
  • 4 oz. Almonds, toasted and chopped
  • 2 tsps. Sesame Seeds
  • 2 ea. Snow Peas optional
  • Place all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl.
  • Toss the ingredients with dressing until evenly combined. (If you don't plan to eat the entire amount, separate out dry ingredients and add dressing later).
  • Mound the ingredients into a large serving bowls.
  • Place the mandarin orange segments around the salad.
  • Top the salad with a little more crispy rice noodles and won tons.
  • Sprinkle almonds and sesame seeds over the salad
