Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 3/4 cup honey (8 ounce jar)
• 2 tablespoons water
• 2 cups semi - sweet chocolate chips (12 ounce package)
• 1 cup unblanched almonds (or walnuts)
• 1/2 cup finely chopped mixed candied fruit
• 2 eggs, well-beaten
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon ground cloves
• 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
