Swedish Icebox Cookies – Recipe Wise

Ingredients

• 3 1/2 cups flour ( sifted , all-purpose )
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 tablespoon powdered ginger
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 2 teaspoons powdered cloves
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1/2 lb butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup molasses ( either light or dark )
• 5 ounces almonds ( whole , blanched )
