• 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 2 egg yolks
• 1 teaspoon almond extract
• 1 dash salt
• 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 egg white , slightly beaten
• 4 tablespoons chopped almonds
