Cake/German Apple Cake | Umami

Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
• 3 eggs
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup canola (or vegetable oil)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 4 cups peeled, cored, and chopped apples (That's about 3 apples. I used Granny Smith.)
• 3/4 cups pecans
• 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
• 1/2 cup butter (softened)
• 3 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• Thin apple slices and chopped pecans for garnish
